Tanya’s Story Continues…

Traveling around Romania continues. We went to Arad and Timisoara for one of our friends’ birthday. We spent an adventure of 7 hours in a car which challenged our creativity and imagination on different ways of having fun during the travel. Games like Associations, Karaoke and others like these were explored to the maximum 😀

Both, Arad and Timisoara, were very beautiful. We managed to look around the most famous places and visit many churches. In the cathedral of Timisoara we were very lucky to meet a nun who spoke very good English and was our guide around the historical art museum there. She explained us many interesting things about the style of art, different symbols and history behind the art works and the historical heritage. #gallery-265-8 { margin: auto; } #gallery-265-8 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-265-8 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-265-8 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

#gallery-265-9 { margin: auto; } #gallery-265-9 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-265-9 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-265-9 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

We visited also in Timisoara the Unirii Square, the Libertatii Square and the St. George’s Square. The time that we were in the city was around Eastern so we enjoyed a lovely concert with typical Romanian melodies and some classical ones as well. There were many wonderful Eastern decorations that just created positive atmosphere around no matter the rainy weather.

April was devoted to exploring more and more of Romania. We went to the Danube delta with our president and we visited places like Tulca, Macin and other small villages. Different perspective of Romania was uncovered in front of our eyes and for me personally this was very enriching. #gallery-265-10 { margin: auto; } #gallery-265-10 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-265-10 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-265-10 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

This is how happy we were to arrive at a marvelous hotel exactly on the edge of the Danube delta. We enjoyed so much!

Interesting thing that we saw was one school that is still using wood for its heating system. It looked a little bit from the old ages and it gave us a lot of food for thought about the conditions the children there were studying in.

Traveling Romania continued for me. With some Romanian friends we visited many new for me places in Transylvania. I totally fell in love with the Castle of Fairies near Sibiu or in Romanian: Castelul de Lut, Valea Zanelor. It is built by clay and sand from the family who created it. It is basically a handmade amazing architecture. #gallery-265-12 { margin: auto; } #gallery-265-12 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-265-12 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-265-12 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
